Details on Easleys dumbass
quote:
According to the report from the Georgia State Patrol, an officer responded to an accident reported at 1313 Redwood Lane in Watkinsville. Three cars were involved in the accident but Easley was the driver of the 2026 Dodge Challenger that caused all the damage.
The report states that Easley’s vehicle was traveling west on Redwood Lane in a “reckless disregard.” His car lost control with the back end twisting clockwise, leaving the road way. It first struck a Walton EMC power box. Then the driver’s side of Easley’s car hit the passenger side of the Hyundai, which then struck the Mercedes-Benz in a similar manner. The driver’s side of the Hyundai struck the passenger side of the Mercedes.
After hitting the Hyundai, Easley’s vehicle’s momentum took him into the front of 1313 Redwood Lane where it came to rest. The Georgia offensive linemen told officers that he was traveling around 25 to 30 miles per hour.
Further investigation into the crash determined that Easley’s account was not accurate. The tire marks and evidence suggest that Easley was “laying drag,” which, in the state of Georgia, means operating a vehicle in such a manner as to cause it to fishtail or move in a circular pattern (donuts).
According to the report, there were six total passengers in the vehicle. That includes Easley, who sustained minor injuries after the airbag was deployed. He was taken to Piedmont Athens Regional. None of the other five persons in the vehicle were

10 over the limit is bad. Over that and it should be jail time.
If someone goes 66 in a 55 you want them to go to JAIL?

A popular excuse for these dumbasses has been that all college kids do dumb shite. I disagree. None of my friends ever did donuts and hit an apartment building with six people in a Dodge Challenger.

Our friends didn't have a $100k Dodge charger Hellcat with 60K in upgrades and 790 HP when we were 18.

I honestly want to know how often this happens at other schools. UGA is in the media spotlight for "The Incident" but has anyone compiled how often this same shite happens at Ole Miss, Bama, Auburn, Florida, etc etc?

UGA is still kinda a rural school and it has a race track around it that always has police on it. Of course on campus, they always seemed to keep a keen eye out for nice cars that came to and from the Mac.

It absolutley happens there too. It's incredibly naive to think that there is some kind of supernatural force inside the Loop that makes only our students drive like idiots. Especially when all big boy football schools all recruit the same group of athletes.
The difference is 1)our local media gets their rocks off on dragging UGA through the mud however possible nad 2) our PD doesn't really seem interseted in keeping things under wraps. #2 isn't necessarily "bad", but it's different.
i can assure you that in tuscaloosa shite like speeding offenses happen every weekend but the police and the AL newspapers don't break their necks to tell america about it.

Athens is too big for a small town and to small for a big town.
Small towns overlook things done by small town royalty or VIPs.
Big towns are too busy to care.
Athens is in the middle.
Maybe Kirby should offer to take the team to Road Atlanta is they go a term without a major traffic incident .....

As much as I hate to see all of this reckless driving stuff, I can't blame the police. I have to blame the players and their parent(s). Fortunately the cars Easley hit, while laying drag, were parked and unoccupied at the time. They could have easily contained someone's kid or other family. Too many deaths already to blame it on the PD.

Report came out that Tuggle was doing 107 on the loop where the limit was 65. I can look past 20-25 because most everyone speeds a bit and sometimes overdoes it. But 42!? Insane. He should be gone. As Daniel Harris should have been during the season last year for doing 106.

He's already suspended indefinitely and missing Spring practice, the likelihood he's still here in the Fall is very low. I think Kirby is pushing him into the portal right after Spring practice, instead of making some official announcement that he's off the team. I am not condoning nor condoning that strategy, but that's what it looks like. If you miss all of Spring, for any reason, your chances of playing in the Fall drop significantly unless you are super special, which Nitro isn't.

Agreed. Kirby will always try to handle things as quietly as possible. If you roast a kid publicly and embarrass him you may send a “zero tolerance” message to the team but kids these days will also take that as coach not having their back.

The loop is a big reason for our bullshite. It is kinda unique. And kids have 700 HP cars and little driving experience and haven't had many people tell them no.

Got pulled over on the loop at 25. I was doing 83 in a 55 per his radar thank goodness it was before the Super speeder. He wrote it for 73-55 so he didn’t have to do the extra paperwork.
