I think he was a bargain in the draft for an actual passer. He probably should have stayed.

NFL GMs are adrift when it comes to what they want in a QB. I still think a game manager with an accurate arm is the way unless you can get the next mahomes who is a unicorn.

off topic, but I'll be interested to see how Penix works out for the Falcons. He checked all the boxes with arm strenght, team centered, and mobility. But yah, it's been a mix if these atheltic, mobile qb's work out vs the game managers. Fields seems like a bust so far and Watson is really trending downward.

Fields never learned to read a defense. OSU was running Meyers offense that made Tebow look like the best QB ever against bad big 10 teams.
