Gotta you're a smart dude and I respect your opinion on this site but have you watched MM26 play? He's not exactly dominating out there. He got burned multiple times in the vandy game. I agree he should stay on defense but it's not like moving him to O is going to leave us with gaping holes on the defensive side.

I'd prefer him to play more snaps on D just because he adds depth and allows Grantham to continuously rotate players throughout the game without having a significant drop off at talent.
Yeah, he got burned several times but he's pretty much a true freshman as far as his experience level at CB. He will only (hopefully) get better with more playing time.

Malcolm mitchel, while he may be our best athlete in the secondary and may have an extremely high ceiling, he is not our best corner. Commings is, at this moment, a better corner than MM. Swann and Smith, due to experience, not physical ability are ahead of Mitchell at the moment. We saw evidence of that Saturday When Vandy constantly picked on MM and had some success.
MM is clearly our best WR. And you all know it. He not only gives us an explosive deep threat but it makes other teams prepare differently. It takes pressure off the run game and makes you opponent respect the deep threat even more. Most don't have more than two solid cover corners. Think about TK, MB, and MM in on three wide. You better have three damn good corners or your going to get smoked. Most teams don't. It's a matchup nightmare.
Don't get me wrong, MM is an elite talent and I think with a little more experience and time, he will be one of if not the best cover corner in the county. But RIGHT NOW, I think his inexperience his holding him back from being our best option going against a conventional offense.
Play the best players is what most would say and I honestly believe we have a few option I would go to before MM at the CB position. He's close but I don't think he's there quite yet.

Truth be told, and I never though I'd say this, I think that Marlon may be our biggest WR threat. I'd love him on offense but really we have just so many threats at WR already. I used to hate the idea of MM on defense but right now I wouldn't mind seeing him develop more there. That being said him moving back to offense won't ruin my day. Just get him the frick off punt returns.

That's what we're doing. I don't know why some people think we're pulling him off the D.

He got burned twice. Once was a hell of a throw and catch. MM26 was in good position. The WR just made a hell of a catch.

He did not get picked on and we were on man a lot and that is tough on any CB if they do not get pressure...

Put him on defense and that gives us the best chance at keeping the other teams WRs at bay. Marlon Brown is having a huge first part of the year. Why take touches away from him? Even if MM26 is faster or more of a deep threat. Our offense is fine.
Brown is a slot guy and makes a lot of plays from there. 3WR sets are not taking away from Brown....

I love the fact that we have a kid who is talented enough to play on both sides of the ball, and y'all are arguing over it.
This is a good problem to have!
