Interesting Vegas line. About where I would have put it but reading the SECr we will be lucky to keep it a 3 score game

We match up pretty well with LSU defensively. We've got the talent, depth, and experience to slow them down. Burrow will force some throws at some point.

If our offense doesn't have it's usual 3 and out shite fest for large portions of the game we will have an opportunity to win. If they go large stretches of disappearing and leave our D on the field we will lose. Simple as that really.

The key is slowing down their quick passing game and controlling the clock. Jam their receivers at the line and keep them from those wide open crosses they seem to hit so consistently.

Actual Vegas lines are not out yet. Won’t be out until Tuesday morning at the casinos.

It will likely be right around 6 though

Sounds easy, doesn't it?

I am not criticizing what you are saying, because I agree with you. It always sounds easy, but reality says it is not.

And the best way to stop their passing attack is to keep em on the bench.

BTW,"jamming their WR's" is the last thing we need to do.Chase and Jefferson will have a field day if that happens.

I haven't really watched enough of LSU to know what is best to do. I just know I used to hate to be jammed at the LOS.

I'm guessing Kirby/Lanning is gonna flood their zone the way Auburn did and keep the WR's in front of us along with some blitzing occasionally.

We gotta come up with a few pics.

And fumbles. Their offense is tough. That said, I typically give our opponents too much credit.

I have complete confidence in Kirby/Lanning to come up with an outstanding game plan. They've been doing it all year.

Coach O obviously deserves COY honors but Kirby's work on defense this year has been unbelievable. He should get a few COY votes as well IMO.

Orgeron found somebody to transform the offense and then got out of the way. For that alone he deserves COY.

To think...if we had beaten South Carolina, we might could have made the playoffs just by keeping the SECCG close. now we have to win outright. It would be nice to have that safety net.

Perhaps. I just notice too much that their WR are running untouched wide open between the hashes. Don’t know the best way to combat that but me thinks they need to be hit at the line a bit. But then again, I don’t know shite

Run a 4-6-4 defense would be my suggestion.

It will be a tough game, but as some others said...Kirby and Lanning have done a pretty good job with our defense. It's the best overall defense I remember. but I forget a lot of stuff these days.
