Going to Lexington this weekend for the game (obviously). I live in Cincinnati so we are driving down Saturday morning. Staying saturday night and doing a little bourbon trail action on Sunday.

I've been to lexington a bunch of times (keeneland, Rupp, bar hopping, etc...), so don't really need much help, but have weirdly never been able to make it for a football game.

Anyone have any clue how easy it is to set up a tailgate/get decent parking? Any tips or tricks on that front? We should have just one vehicle and wanna throw the football and play some cornhole for a few hours.

UK football fans are the friendliest in the SEC. You should be able to make new friends among them. I brought a RV, so I’m not sure about regular tailgating. Google it.

Every time I've been to lex we've parked in the same lot which is mostly dawg fans. I haven't been in a couple years so I can't tell you how much it costs or anythign like that. I think it's a doctor's office building. I'm sorry I can't remember any speficics. Looking at google maps I THINK it's the area on Nicholasville Rd just west of the stadium, in the area between dantzler drive and westwood drive. Looks like there's an office building there and a church.

Fans are awesome. You shouldn’t have a problem finding a place to tailgate at all (especially with their loss last weekend and upcoming Thanksgiving. Tons of lots within a mile of the stadium and shouldn’t have a problem tossing the ball around. Start out on the West side of the stadium. It’s been a long time since I’ve been, but don’t think that much could have changed

Also, With your basketball knowledge, I imagine you will fit in even better than most.

Have breakfast at DV* Kitchen. I believe there are two locations now. It's a second chance employment opportunity group. Good food, good coffee, good cause.

We went in 2016. We staid at an Airbnb outside Lexington on a farm. Our Airbnb host were more accustomed to hosting people during the horse racing season and were very knowledgeable about horses. We parked near Rupp Arena and they had a bus that shuttled peopl to the games. We really didn't look for any parking near the stadium. The bus was pretty easy before and after the game. It was a great college football experience. The fans were great and that stadium was rocking as Ky at the time was first in the SEC east. We hung with one of the Ky player's mom and his family at a bar before the game. They may be a bit more toned down and looking to basketball season this year.
