It's like knowing CCR "Grapevine" is a cover, and then know CCR is California pretending cajun, but listening and knowing that it is ok to pretend sometimes. Especially when it benefits so many people.

CCR was called the Golliwags before they changed their name to CCR at the urging of their record company due to the fact that the name was racist. Not sure a Racist California band doing Motown covers with a Southern twang would have seen success in this day.

I once referred to Sumlin as a drunk golliwog and got in trouble, even though it was 100% true.
