Georgia’s outside linebacker group might have the most-raw talent on the team. There are three former 5-star prospects — Nolan Smith, Brenton Cox and Adam Anderson — in the ranks. There’s also the No. 1 JUCO prospect in the 2019 recruiting cycle in Jermaine Johnson. When you factor in the likes of Azeez Ojulari and Robert Beal as well, the group has a lot of potential. But Georgia coach Kirby Smart wants to pump the brakes on the hype surrounding the group. Smart isn’t satisfied with the overall performance of the group this spring. In fact, Smart says the talent in the room might be over-hyped. “It hasn’t been consistent,” Smart said of the group. “We’re not dominant out there like people, quote-unquote think we’re the greatest outside linebackers to ever play. We’re not getting by our tackles.”

It depends on what tackles they’re playing against. Andrew Thomas and Isaiah Wilson? Not many do get around them. Second and third teamers? Ok. Do better. Could be true or could be a ploy by Kirby to keep them hungry.

Kinda hard to hype up “any” DL going against 5-7 NFL 1-2 rounders... People wow’d at ClemPson getting 3 1st round picks... even more will shake their heads when UGA has 4 taken within the first 12 picks on the O-Line... That O-Line might be the best CFB has seen since 2012 Bama

The one thing I don’t like about Kirby’s coaching style is he criticizes the players in public. Throughout the season last year he was infamous for saying they or he is still learning or getting better. This went one through the tenth game of the season. As a player I wouldn’t want to be criticized in public.
