Was reading an article by Dean Legge on Scout that said Kirby was denied 300,000 to run camps over the summer. He raised 200,000 on his own and was given the final 100,000. This worries me because I thought our AD and athletic department had gotten over the hump of being scared to spend money. Given the amount of exposure these summer camps gave UGA in my opinion that 300,000 should have been given to Kirby with no questions asked. We all agree that we were losing the arms race in amount of money put back into our football program. I know Kirby has gotten a lot of what he asked for, and it's good we got a coach that knows how to go get the money on his own. But how long before Kirby gets fed up having to raise money on his own? Am I making a big deal out of nothing? I will admit I don't know how to run a huge university athletic program like UGA but 300,000 is a drop in the bucket when u just passed a budget of 123 million.

Not sure if I'm ready to march to BM with pitchfork in hand just yet. I'm still of the mind that the satellite camps are a stupid fad and an intentional inconvenience levied by Harbaugh & Co. Not sure that I blame whoever in BM made the call not to spend the money because I don't agree with the camps either. Then again, SPEND SPEND SPEND SO WE CAN WIN WIN WIN DAMMIT GARKHGLBDLFBDSJBDSJSDFASDSDJVKK!!!!!!
