Coach Smart called out Juan Gaston for not have the stamina to stay on the field consistently. He told him to quit reading the sports media and get in shape. Reminds me of when Norm Van Broklin told Falcons players to stop listening to the hookers on Peachtree Street.
Zikie Helton, meanwhile, may get asked to play a little defense as well as offense. He is that good.

Helton played both sides in HS and was dominant. He will be playing defense for the Dawgs.

This would be interesting. In the state title game it's almost as if he ricochetted off offensive tackles and gained speed after engaging. One of the damndest things I've ever seen.

Probably 95-98 percent of the time when he's asked about a specific player at a press conference it's "he's working everyday to get better" or something generic with the word "work" or "working" in it. You'd probably have to dig pretty deep and go back to find all these times when Kirby called out a player.

I did not know the context of him mentioning players here. I do know from others reporting, at practice, he non-stop publicly calls players and coaches out for all sorts of stuff.

In the Grayson game last season, he was just throwing people around like stuffed-animals. I don't see how he doesn't see some snaps on the DL.
