i can see that

Didn't we try him at LB? I seem to remember that.

maybe so but I can't remember. I remember 3 things about RS's career; the 09 arkansas game, teh 2011 florida game, and recovering an onside kick by missouri in 2012. Cant' recall him playing LB although it's certainly possible

ETA: a quick google search confirms that is correct. Moved to LB prior to the 2010 season but it was short lived and he returned back to RB not long after.

If you remember black helmets and Tebow breaking hershals record of rushing TDs against us and a red haired qb you remember him.

but was just not a great football player.

Samuel was a good football player, He just wasn't a good running back or linebacker. I know that's what we recruited him for but he wind up turning into a running back that just wasn't very good in my opinion. For as big as he was I used to be annoyed that he would just fall by a shoestring tackle.

I haven’t read the whole so if someone already mentioned it I apologize, but he was also barely 17 when he got to UGA. Imagine him coming in 2 years later. Kid might have progressed more.
