I haven't watched clips, I've just seen the viral pics of his beastness. He looks the part. There's Milton, KMac, and Daijun ahead of him. And Andrew Paul coming in thick at 5-11 220.

As in, start against Oregon? I'd say practically no chance of that outside of a special package or something.

I do think he's going to play A LOT though.

With all the rotation, I guess "start" is the wrong word for a running back. I will amend the topic to say "player".

Does he get game reps in game 1?

ETA- what are travel restrictions for roster in a neutral site game vs home game?

Look at chubbs first game in 14 against Clemson. Gurley and Sony got the bulk of the carries most of the game til later when we were up 14. In comes Chubb to wear them down even more and ended up scoring a long one. I can definitely see Branson getting touches in game 1.

He’ll probably be the 4th quarter closer. Seems we’ve had one since Kirby got here. Chubb, Swift, Herrien, Edwards, now Branson. I figure the other guy probably redshirt’s unless Edwards leaves.

If he runs like his highlights against our defense in practice, he'll probably be the third guy off the bench or the goal line carrier. Maybe in the top two rotation by game four. Don't know what he has for speed.

I don't think redshirting RBs is a thing anymore. He'll play special teams at a minimum, if I had to guess.

Dude is a man right now physically at least, and he use only 17 still.

5'11, 220

Benches-415
Squats-630
Deadlifts-715

Mississippi high school state champ weightlifter as a Junior, set the 220 lb. State record.

I would highly doesn't he redshirts.
