Horse shite. Bama scored on a 3 play drive and a 6 play drive at the beginning of the second quarter. This is after they were spotted a 10 point lead. The wheels came off when Bama got clean pockets and open passing lanes and scored 24 points in a quarter, while we failed to establish a running game. Yet, we still managed 14 points on offense that quarter. Our defense didn’t get one stop. Our generational defense didn’t get one stop in the 2nd quarter and gave up 24 points. That was shocking and had nothing to do with them being tired.

Oklahoma remembers

We ran for 317 yards and five TDs in that game. Two TDS and
210 yards passing. Hardly a shootout.

Are you disputing the defense was on the field for 11 minutes of the quarter?

The first Dawg TD was literally the first play of the 2Q so, for all intents and purposes, we were outscored 24-7 in the 2nd and our offense was on the field for 4 fricking minutes.

And you don't think fatigue plays into that? You don't think HCs scheme offensively to save their defenses?

Bama scored on drives of 3 plays and 6 plays to start out the 2nd quarter. The 3 play drive was after we just drove to score. How the frick is that being hung out to dry? 9 offensive plays and we went from a 10 point lead to a 4 point deficit. The defense didn’t make one stop in the 2nd quarter. If they made a stop, maybe they get off the field and change some momentum?

Oh, he's definitely one of the main reasons they lost.

Look at that second quarter.

--TD Georgia just as the quarter starts.

--TD Bama

--UGA 3 and out (1:29)

--TD Bama

--UGA 3 and out (1:05)

--FG Bama

UGA TD (3 plays, aided by 3 Bama penalties, 1:22 off the clock)

TD Bama

Halftime

Again, the defense forced the offense to get out of their element by allowing Alabama to score at will. Georgia started the game doing good trying to establish the run but had to get away from it because the defense kept allowing Bama to put points up.

You are correct. He isn't THE reason we lost, that would mostly fall the inexplicably bad defensive gameplan we played allowing them to run free and score at will. No it's not stetson's fault we lost, HOWEVER, he also didn't put is in the best position to succeed either. Missed several easy throws, 2 interceiptions (1 in the red zone, 1 returned for points), not taking off and running for an easy first down even though running is what's supposed to be his edge of daniels, etc.

The loss is not on stetson's shoulders but he definitely didn't elevate us to be in position to win either.

This was all a result of the defense making the offense abandon the run. When you aren’t passing off play action and just trying to throw to keep up, the defense knows what you’re doing and can blanket your receivers. This is where mistakes come in. WRs would have been wide open if we could run and do play action.
