Because he had a check down open and he held the ball back for no reason.

If memory serves, that's only the 2nd sack/fumble by Eason (Tn last year). Dude is coming off a bum knee. Ever stop to think Kirby told him not to scramble? Watch the play again: think Eason might've seen the defender closing on Swift and thought better of hanging him out to dry?
Im happy with Fromm as our QB right now and going forward but I see no need to shite on Eason.

There was 10 yards between them. That's plenty for a check down

So, time the ball gets there and Swift turns his head there would be 3-4 yds separation? Remember Keith Marshall at TN?

Probably more, but With a good quick throw, that's plenty for a badass like swift. This play was nothing like that Marshall one.

My opinion vs yours. I still think you're wrong but I'm not going 10 pages arguing with you.

I am watching it right now. Swift is Better than you think and check downs often have defenders in the area. There was no defender behind swift, so it's not like the Marshall play.

Actually, I think Swift is pretty damn good. That's irrelevant. I still think you're wrong!

That sack is not on Eason. It was a delayed CB blitz from the blindside. If you cannot understand that, you just don't understand football
And if you look at the play, you see that the CB disguised it perfectly.

It is also funny how Fromm can take a sack and no one bitches that he missed his reads, etc. Yet Eason takes a sack and he can't read the DEF.

This. The kid come to UGA, tried and didn’t do so well. I see no reason to dog him out over and over. Someone made a point that some recruits may or may not read these boards. Wouldn’t that caution apply here?

You need to go back and watch the play sober...

You are wrong because you don't seem to know what a normal check down to a rb in the flats looks like. 10 yards away is considered open and he will learn from it in film session.

How the LB was only a few yards from Swift by the time he turned and looked. And how his first option slipped and fell. How he was hit about 2 seconds after it was snapped. I get that you don't like Eason but be reasonable.

With Eason looking at swift, Swift is on the 20 outside the hash and the Vandy guy is on the 30 inside the hash. How is that "a few"?

I don't dislike Eason to no need for you to make stuff up.

He turned and looked at him and by the time the ball would have reached Swift he would have been right on him. You realize the balm doesn't instantly appear in his hands. There is travel time. What the actual frick are you looking at?
