Wait a second, Chef, the property in question I take it was free and clear, no liens. The title was in your name and your sister's, right? She cannot deed it over unless the title is in her name only!

It was likely still in the deceased relative's name, so all she would have had to do is show the death certificate to get it retitled into her name alone.
