So is this the successor to the earlier DawgRant music threads? I think a lot of those had quite a bit a bit of metal in them.

So here’s a country song from Cedartown, Georgia’s Sam Hunt:

Hard to Forget

Feet on the ground
Head in the sky
It’s okay
I know nothing is wrong

Signs and wonders

Hand to God. I clicked your first link but not the second one with that song. Then the other night I was watching a cheesy Mathew mcanahphe movie and shazamed a song that was in it and it was that song. Actually it was a cover if it. But anyway, now it’s my favorite song currently and I don’t know how I never heard it before

Half of Talking Heads songs seem like ones you’ve heard everywhere and finally really listen one time and it just hits you. Their consistency is hard to match.

I think their legacy suffers from the time at which they peaked. That period of when synthesizers and electronic digital drums and that whole thing reigned for 5 years or so. It's always turned me off from their stuff. That's why covers of their songs are always better imo. But then it leads you back to the original and you can get beyond it and realize how great they were underneath the synthesizers

Its not on youtube but on spotify there's a david byrne solo version that is the best i've heard so far

I got to see Byrne at the Georgia Theater about 15 or so years ago and he did all the hits mostly acoustically... he had a band and all, he wasn't solo, but it was all his Talking Heads stuff but really toned down to the actual songness of them all, it really was a wonderful concert.
