What part of Thomaston are you from, if you don't mind my asking.

I don't think Thomaston has "parts"

Peter Buck did you play for the Dawgs? If so, what position if you don't mind me asking?

Not really. He is only 5'2" tall.

I just noticed your comments about the cow pasture in Kneeland and about how the concrete turf before was bad too. Sounded like you had first hand experience.

Sure Thomaston has parts...Silvertown, Eadt Thomaston, Potato Creek Heights, etc. I'm not from any of those. I grew up in the County. Played at Upson High School from 84-88.

I'm from Thomaston. I grew up on Northside off of Jeff Davis rd. on Hannah's Mill Rd. Every town or city has parts, thanks for the back up.

Also to add to that. I am family of the former Upson-Lee coach and have been told the same about Marshall and his motor. If the staff can keep him engaged his ceiling is VERY high.

If JB is your initials and the former coach is family, I think I know you.

Good ol Silvertown and the Mill Village. All of my family is originally from Thomaston. My mom was born in a house on E Street which Im thinking is over in front of the Martha Mill. And from when I was 5 till 21 my Granny lived on M Street in the Mill Village, off of Goodrich Ave. Ive got some good memories of Thomaston, GA. My dad's family is the Moore's and my mom's is the Rogers and Barfields

Martha Mill is just about all gone now. They starting demoing it last year. The mill villages aren't what they used to be..mostly drug villages now. But, T-town is home and I still love it here.

Would that be the Rogers that own WCGB?

Man I wouldn't know what to think riding thru and not seeing the Martha Mill. I was over there back during the 1st week of July. I had two cousins at Coggins funeral home at the same time. That was the first time I had been in Thomaston since 2007 or so. I was amazed at how much is on the main drag now(US19?) and suprised that Piggy Park was still there.
Not sure about WCGB.
