Did we miss Bowers as a blocker yesterday?

Didn't really have the opportunity to miss this aspect of his game against UF, but with the pressure that was brought by Mizzou, I can't help but think that this underrated aspect of his game would have benefitted us greatly.

Hard to tell with Delp in there. We put up 30 on a really good defense but we also gave up 3 sacks.

Luckie was the other TE I saw in there. Don’t recall seeing Spurlin.

Admittedly, I haven't watched DELP as closely as Bowers, but neither have I noticed him out there getting after it like Bowers when it comes to blocking. I'm sure that's an oversight on my part.

I wasn’t paying attention yesterday but he was throwing some great blocks up against Florida last week

Xavier Truss got "abused" on some plays and could have been called for holding at least a couple of times. Seems like he needed help. I know he's out of position...

Blocking was okay. We had nearly a 10 minute time of possession edge, 66% pass completion rate, and outscored Mizzou 20-10 in the 2nd half. I'll take that every game against a top 15 team.

This was very noticeable. Truss at T could be a problem against better DLines.

I really expect to see Mims soon.

I hope that we do. Get these uglies back to where they are comfortable. But really, Truss has played well, outside of yesterday. Missouri was dialing up the heat and it just seemed to keep coming. That's why I was wondering if Bowers presence could have made a difference here.

Everyone stays focused on what he does with the ball. He is a complete player. A fricking true beast.
