At least I can afford ESPN and not listening to Scott and Chuck with my foot on the pedal!

What I’ve been saying the last couple pages

It’s the rarara Dawgs that don’t understand who we are as a program and why. They want multiple wins in the tournament, but don’t know what that means as even a 7 seed

From my standpoint, you have been acting like is a guarantee that UGA can't upset anyone in the tournament. You appear to speak in absolutes where as some of us feel like once we get in the tournament that anything can happen.

Setting himself up for disappointment. Been a while since we made a run so we are due to win a game or two but not holding my breathe.

Also, are we now getting close to a new Arena with all the problems old Steg has had recently?

Early on March 3rd, or 3/3, at precisely 3:33 AM, the moon turned….blood red. That very evening Georgia beat Alabama to become a stone cold lock for the NCAA Tournament. There are no coincidences.

You read my mind on this one. The guy was posting in absolutes, as if he has a time machine or is all-knowing or some shite. It's impossible to post in absolutes on a sports message board without coming across as a know-it-all little weenie, even if you're not really a know-it-all little weenie in real life.

Georgia can't do this in the tournament or Georgia won't do this in the tournament. A simple highly unlikely would've done the trick way better.

Probably unlikely, but would be great if we could creep up to a 7 seed to give us a more winnable game and then to not have to play Michigan, Duke, or UConn if we win as an 8/9...

One of the Tubby teams beat a #1 seed. Definitely highly unlikely, but shite happens in the NCAA tournament.

More concerned with getting through round one as I've been watching this program for over 20 years and have no memory of us even winning a game.

we've had some pretty crap luck in that regard, in addition to simply having some mediocre to bad teams as well

-Last year we got the shite draw of facing a damn good Gonzaga that was at one time ranked in the top 5
-I attended the 2015 game against MSU and even though they weren't great going into the tourney, it's still an Izzo coached team in the postseason. Despite being a 7 seed they made it to the final 4.
-In 2011 we faced an Isaiah Thomas led Washington that was ranked in the top 20 most of the year.
-2008 it's hard to complain considering we sucked chode most of the year and needed a literal miracle to end up making the tourney anyway

-2003 was maybe the best basketball team we've ever put onto the court, and our piece of shite administration didn't even let them play. That was without a doubt a national title caliber level team
-2002 we had a 3 seed but got upset int he 2nd round. I've never heard the term "Saluki" before that year or after that year but I'll never get it out of my head because of that upset

Honestly most of our losses above were us as the lower seed playing a higher seed, often times one that was REALLY actually better than their seed would suggest. If we end up as a 7 or 8 seed I'll be curious to see how things go with us as an evenly matched opponent or hell maybe even the slightly better team. Seems like we rarely ever have that kind of setup in the tourney.

If Catchings can elevate his game maybe not necessarily Andrew Wiggins level (last night) but similar, we can compete with a lot of teams. It’s gonna be tough beating any of the teams in the top 5 as they’ve pretty much separated themselves from the rest. If by some miracle we can win 2-3 more games and get to 24 wins, maybe we creep up into that 7 seed conversation.

I don’t think it’s out of the question. Really going to depend on the draw we get in the SECT. Right now, we could be anywhere from 6 to 10 in SEC seeding. I would like the 9 or 10 seed honestly. Gives us an extra game against the bottom of the SEC. If we get the 10 seed, we would play 15 then 7 then 2….as the 9 seed, we would play 16 then 8 then Florida…

7 wouldnt be horrible. We would get a bye, then 10 seed and then likely Bama.
If it works out that way with the 7 or 10, we could win 2 or 3 and position ourselves for a 7 seed in the NCAA tournament. Maaaybe a 6 seed if all the chips fall right. That would be huge IMO

Team is certainly playing with the intensity we did earlier this season. If we can keep that up, we will be in a good position to show out a bit.

Go Dawgs

Just checked the bracketologys and Jerry Palm has us a 7 playing UCF with a potential date with Illinois next. Yes please.

I don't even care who the 10 seed is, if we are a 7 matched up with illinois in round 2 that is probably the absolute best case scenario we could possibly hope for.

This team, like most, can be frustrating. They are not consistently playing at an elite level, but… they can play at an elite level and they damn sure are not Fool’s Gold…

Outside us getting into a 6 seed with shite falling the right way….this would be the best case scenario where things sit today. And we actually do match up well against a team like them too.

As long as we're not in the same little bracket as Duke or Michigan or Florida or Arizona, I would muster some enthusiasm.

Damn it. Had a doctor's appointment yesterday and thought the game was tonight. Big win and big game from Catchings.
