Ok, hearing some buzz around that this walk-on QB is making some nice impressions. Some even saying he might be our next no-name-walkon-turned-star, like Bennett and McConkey (and maybe Cash Jones after this season).
I looked him up and he was rated like the 100+ QB in the nation with his most prestigious offer being Coastal Carolina before settling for a PWO with UGA. He did end up being the player of the year in whatever division he was in down there in middle Georgia.
Anyone got any 411 on this kid?

I think QB is the hardest position to judge. Competition varies widely even in some of the high divisions of HS football. The media fawns over measurables and doesn't put enough emphasis on IQ and drive. Most hs offenses are shuffle pass based which runs up the stats when ever run play now is a completion with yac.
PWO means someone saw something though usually those roles are for smart kids with weak arms, not a stretch that a good slips through the filter.
Love our walk on program. It separates football players from prima donnas

McConkey was never a walk-on. UGA was his only Power 5 offer.
