I saw recently that Monken is making slightly north of a million bucks a year for his first season at UGA. I applaud UGA for trying to maintain some semblance of sanity in coaching salaries, but if our offense is even slightly improved next year then this salary won't hold. The arms race in coaching salaries has gone vertical, sort of like the stock market and the money supply and the central bank balance sheets. These things are not unrelated and if Georgia wants to remain competitive, they'll have to play this game.

Here's an article about Clemson staff salaries that I saw on the SECRant.

You get what you pay for most of the time. If Monken helps us win a NC we can build him statue for all I care.

Every penny Clemson is spending on coaches is worth it. If Monken does what we hope he does with our offense next season we will definitely be paying him north of $1.5 million if we fortunate enough to keep him.

I only know that name because of the 30 for 30 Espn thing The U part 2. She was president of Miami when the Shapiro thing went down.

I think some schools unnecessarily over pay coaches, Pellini at LSU comes to mind.

The only one we have let get away for money was Chaney and I think it was for the best.

Coordinators making over $800k have got it good. If someone comes calkibg you match.
