Get to work on the good word. That's half the battle right there.
PJ's recruiting is getting better, ok.
So is Dabo's. So is the FSU frick. So is Beamer. Beamer is probably stealing that one dude from bama, whatever the frick his name is, big black DE #1 dude, Deshawn Hand I think. Miami loses a few schollies, but UF's weakness/hot seat Mussy only helps them in recruiting. There are several teams in the ACC that are getting better, while Georgia Tech seems to be getting left behind.
If I'm wrong, educate me.
No more riddles.

I bring a lot of truth to my game.. I remember when Tech let Chan Gailey go.. It felt like what a Deadhead must of felt when Jerry Garcia died.. and I remember when Paul Johnson arrived.. Prolly one of the boldest moves by a football program in recent history. I promise you we are not fcking around.

Paul Johnson still being head coach shows you're still fricking around. Clemson, VT, FSU, and Miami are in your conference. You aren't going to win shite on a national level running that offense and not fielding a defense.
Don't get me wrong, I hope Johnson is given a lifetime contract. But after 2 years, good teams figured out how to stop tech. Tech was far more formidable an opponent when they ran a real offense in the 90s and early 2000s. Tech's goal (attainable or not, it should at least be their GOAL) should be to compete for national titles and ACC titles every year. They will never do that with Johnson. So yeah, you're fricking around and just delaying the inevitable.

All you need is a Cam Newton, RG3, Johnny Manziel or Joey Hamilton, right? Or do you need their coaches? Or their systems? Which is it

Cam had a badass defense. 2010 Auburn had many comeback wins from deep deficits because the defense was able to adjust and shut down the other offense.
Johnny is in the same situation. AnM will be 3rd in their division because they have no defense.
RG3 won what for Baylor?
Who the hell is Joey Hamilton?

I'm just thinking out loud now so I'm gonna STFU. Y'all creep me out with bashing Paul Johnson shite. One day you'll get it.. maybe next week or one of the couple weeks after. I dunno.

How different is Auburn's personnel this year from last? Oh yeah, they actually got competent coaching.
Tech was still good without Hamilton. Hell they whooped our arse with Godsey.
Your point really doesn't make any sense. You point out once every decade type players and imply teams can only be successful with them. Auburn went undefeated twice since 1990 without Cam. Baylor is in the top 10 this year without RG3. Coaching beats talent 8 times out of 10. Granted, tech doesn't have much in the way of talent right now either, so yall are doubly fricked. Johnson struck gold in 2008 with Gailey's players inheriting Nesbitt, Thomas, and Dwyer. After 5 years we can see that he can't really do much of anything on his own.
If tech got a legit, good coach that runs a pro style offense, they'd be ranked every year.

WG,
STFU and come at me when you win something
A disgrace to Georgia you are. Step aside
You think we cannot plug and play with any coach we feel necessary, then you think narrow minded.

I grew up rooting for my team, went to games starting as a youngster, got admitted to the University out of high school, graduated in 4 years, now contribute and continue to go to most games, and support all athletic programs. I'm the type of fan most schools would love to have. But yeah...the techie says I'm a disgrace.

Oh, now I realize this was a troll. Nevermind, carry on.
Ya know, I was actually sort of somewhat complimenting tech in this thread. Now I feel like shite for doing so, I won't do that again.

Don't take it personal man. The Bulldawgs, with their average recruiting ranking of #1 over the past 10+ years is what I'm talking about being a such disgrace.
You can always hire & fire or run a pro style offense. You gotta understand we're not fckn' stupid.

Damn. I go away for a day and come back to this.
If the OP and others of the peanut gallery are too stupid or too lazy to figure out the drastic differences between a "University" and an "Institute", I'll not wear myself out trying to 'splain it.
Oh, and tell the 49'ers it's a HS offense. Get back to me.
And, Crissy ... put on your troll-resistant shorts tomorrow. I think you forgot to today.

Every word out of my keyboard in this topic is pure fact or honest opinion based on pure fact.
1/3 of dawg fans want to fire Richt because Gurley and Mitchell (and Marshall) got hurt.
Paul Johnson has no excuses.
I've asked for legitimate excuses, and I've received only pieces of riddles.

Why isn't Georgia Tech the Stanford of the South?

Get what? That Tech will never EVER win anything of any importance with Johnson as head coach? We get that, don't worry.
Like was said above, as long as you have Paul Johnson as HC, Tech is fricking around. They are clearly not serious about winning.

Why isn't Georgia Tech the Stanford of the South?
1. Because Georgia Tech isn't a University. Georgia State has a better chance of being the "Stanford of the South" for that very reason. It's been beat to death, so I don't see why folks having this discussion don't see it - Tech has very limited academic offerings.
2. One of the highest admissions standards in the US plus limited degree offerings means ANY coach for this team is going to face a major challenge in recruiting. Tech's administration is also a great deal tighter on granting exceptions than they were even as recently as Gailey. Stanford, Notre Dame, and other "rigorous academic" schools may have similar admissions standards, but they also have more diverse degree offerings AND more academic exceptions for their SA's.
3. Have you ever been to Stanford? It's easily the most beautiful campus I have ever visited. AND it's in California (which, along with Colorado, I feel is about to win every recruiting battle for any SA who likes weed).
As to the whole "get rid of Johnson" bit - he's done no worse than his predecessors and did two things Gailey never did: beat the dwags and win an ACC championship. We've had some bad luck with our rivals in Blacksburgh, but thems the breaks. Miami has also gotten us in some close games that were lost for reasons not related to CPJ's offense. Clemson is still our bitch, as are UNC (in spite of some great recruiting classes there, lol), Maryland, Duke, and we have a 2-1 record against F$U under Johnson.
Now we have Roof, who has managed to take us from a 40-50 range defense to a top 15 defense in one year (why is Todd Grantham still coaching at UGAg
