Can't believe I've been so wrong for so long.

I always thought complimentary football referred to when the offense was struggling the defense stepped up and vice versa. I didn't realize it meant that when one was failing miserably the other one-ups them and then the fans compliment everyone on a job well done. This is gonna take some getting used to. Fortunately it seems there will be many opportunities to acclimate to it the remainder of the season.
