Secondary starts at the front 7, you can only cover for so long, the front has to get home.

this exactly. Part of the reason our 2021/2022 defenses were so elite is because guys like wyatt/devonte/walker/carter allowed us to pressure the QB quickly without bringing additional guys. That lets the LB do more stuff they need and it helps the CBs not have to cover as long. It all starts at the LOS, always has. I've heard for years that behind the QB, the next most important position on the entire field is the DT. Granted that was decades ago when everyone played a 4-3 and offenses were prostyle but I think the sentiment is still good. We haven't had a studly DL in the last few years after Jalen left and it's showed.

Allegedly we are in good shape for both of the top 2 DTs in the country this year. Despite the guys we'll lose on the DL this offseaosn, I would expect our defense to overall be much better immediatley in 2025 just based off gettin gthose guys.

We collapsed the pocket and had a spy most of the game because the QB could run. A lot of the passes he made in pocket were pretty quick because of this.

If we ran a bunch of stunts and blitzes and he escaped and made plays with his feat, the cunTs would have been shrieking about how we needed to contain him and make him beat us with his arm.
