We did try to hire kirby smart when willie was fired. but kirby turned us down. and so did bud foster. CTG was our third choice. In the three years he has been here our defense has been inconsistent. 2 out of 3 years he has been here we have been poor against the run. Kirby was on the staff but richt had him at RB's coach

It's all in how you want to look at it. I see failure compared to last year but "complete failure" is going overboard Imho. We could debate stats all day long and you'll chose to see them differently than I will so what's the point.
