Nah, sofl is pretty connected. But he can be dramatic especially with player relations. I doubt it's anything to seriously worry about but it makes sense there would be some unhappy folks in the offensive room.
Bell, Lovett, and Beck stand to make a lot of money with big years but the production so far has been below expectations. Obviously still time but need a big offensive game at Bama to quiet the noise.

I get being frustrated but I don't buy for a second that the locker room is starting to fracture.
Like I said earlier, unless I hear it directly from Rusty about locker room issues, then it's just heresay.

Judging "insider" information is tricky business. Not many insiders exist who would have valid long term access and disseminate info to the public. If the information is coming from a coach/analyst/etc., Kirby will find out who it is eventually. Especially if they're saying UGA has a locker room problem, which would suggest a rogue employee with an agenda. If the information is coming from a player then it'll be frequently wrong or tainted by the bias of that person, and it will be short lived. Every team has unhappy players and when speaking privately, they'll give unhappy reports.

Mike Griffith on 92.9 just now said that Carson needs to "earn his NIL check" and that Brock "outplayed" him.
Dude is such a hack

I don't know what fan/player expectations are for "production" this year, but here's my "insider" information. Georgia's 2024 production statistics will not be eye-popping. The schedule is brutal; 8 of the top 25 in team talent, 3 of the top 4 SEC teams (the other being UGA), all on the road, maybe even all at night. By some odd chance, the other 3 top SEC teams only play 1 of the top 4, UGA, and they all get us at home.
I hope Kirby has explained to these guys that it's very unlikely they'll rack up huge passing/rushing/receiving numbers against this schedule. There may not be many blowout wins, and if we do have a big lead he'll play the backups to keep the starters healthy.

Sofl is verifiably in the know and has been for a while. There has been multiple times where he has released info before any of the beat reporters.
I'm banned from the site but I don't think he is saying there is a locker room problem per se. Probably more of a nuanced issue that's bubbling up due to poor execution and production

That's fine and as a fan I don't care about production as long as we win.
But in the NIL and portal era it matters for the future roster. Guys want to come where they will get touches and stats. We have what should an elite QB. Even with the schedule our WR should be producing at a clip we can market to the portal and they aren't right now.
We are good at producing 2 round draft picks with 1st round talent at that position unfortunately. It is already a negative recruiting topic by other teams and will continue until we can change the narrative. Obviously Kirbys approach has worked this far, I'm not saying it needs to change, but as we have seen, an elite WR can be the ultimate equalizer.
Jameson Williams absolutely torched one of the most elite defenses in the 2021 SECCG and was on his way to doing it again in Indy. We haven't had one of those guys and actually taken advantage of it since AJ Green

That's an extremely unprofessional thing for a journalist to say. I guess Griffith would say he's playing a different role on the radio, but I'd say that role is in conflict with his claim to be a true journalist.

I'm not disagreeing with any of that. What I'm saying is that this schedule makes it virtually impossible to produce big numbers over the course of the season. If we had Tennessee's schedule or Texas or Ole Miss or Ohio State, then I'd say bombs away against the cupcakes, but we don't have many cupcakes and we have a lot of the opposite of cupcake. The people who made this uneven SEC schedule knew that too.

I wonder if Beck hasn't had a lingering shoulder issue. He has definitely been off.
Could the Stockton era begin sooner than thought? Having a very mobile qb would have helped vs KY and Bama, so long as he can make all the throws.

Stockton looked bad last time he played
Posted on 9/17/24 at 10:04 am to lewis and herschel
Haven't heard he is dealing with anything. He banged up his shoulder on that last scramble. Non throwing though. I think he is too risk adverse.
He has the arm talent to make great throws. Wish he wasnt going into Bama game with zero interceptions as weird as that sounds. He needs to get some swagger and trust his talent. If you throw a pick, who cares....within reason lol
On Stockton and mobility, I don't think he is that much more mobile than Beck tbh. Probably similar to Brock.

Hard to judge in mop up duty nor do I want to replace Beck but one more hit on the shoulder and who knows. Shoulders take a minute to heal when not playing g a collision sport.

When there is smoke there is fire and that source has been reliable on a lot of things, so I will take it as smoke for now.
Marry that with Kirby's presser hyping up GA's culture is the reason for the win.
If there was a problem in the locker room brewing, I would probably hype up our culture as the reason for the win, even though it might the reason fractures are occurring.
If we come out against Bama in the same fashion, something is clearly wrong because we have too many 5 star players, too many upper classman and a coach who is now dubbed as the greatest current coach in college football.
You don't have a UK type game followed up by a second one if things are great.
Let's revisit this topic two Saturdays from now

Yeah IDK why they(Steak & Sandra) talk to him every week. Dude is universally loathed by pretty much the entire fan base due to his unprofessionalism and just flat sucking at his job.
He also said that Brock outplayed Carson. Now dude is just trolling.

We've played like this against UK in Lexington twice in the last 4 years and the offense was fine moving forward. After the 16-6 game two years ago nobody came w/in 10 points of us the rest of the season.
A Little adversity is a good thing.
I think this is a case of people manufacturing controversy for clicks.

He was being blocked by and throwing to scout team and freshmen. Stockton can run this offense if called upon.
