Deer season is a few weeks here and there, but small game is half the year. If you don't have a good small game rifle, and you don't hunt small game, then you aren't really a hunter. But we can talk about this later. Tonight we won the sugar bowl.

How do you like the rifle? My son has a savage rascal that shoots great but it's single load only. We're going to a project appleseed in about a month and it's 500 rounds in two days. I think he'd handle it better if I was also working a bolt action all weekend. I'm not trying to spend a ton of money on a bolt action 22lr that may only be used for this class.

The action is stiff and jammy loading from the clip. It probably just needs to be worn in and shoot a hundred more rounds. I also need to try the non-coated rounds, the coating may be adding to the stickiness.

But I was thinking this dolt uses one from his kids braces. About 1/2" in diameter. It would easily hold 3 dollar bills.

By far my favorite small rifle is my Black Remington Nylon 66. I have had it since I was a kid. It is reliable and accurate. I don't think they make them anymore, but you can find them used.

I shoot birds occasionally. We put on a big dove shoot at our farm every fall, we shoot ducks off our ponds and swamps and I have thousands invested in thermal optics for predator hunting. Actually about to step out back and try to call a coyote up but I don’t hunt squirrel or rabbit so I guess I’m no hunter huh. Lol at the shite this guy says.
