He built that program, and then tore it back down. Beamer should have been gone five or so years ago, at the very least. He is the living embodiment of what Spurrier meant when he said that 10 or so years in one place is about right for a head coach before he needs to move on.

CMR is our Beamer. Yes he is.

Absolutely, and I did in a post a few weeks back. I also said, in addition to those two, Bobby Bowden and a few others.

Just because you build a program doesn't give you the absolute right to tear it down. These guys were all well compensated to build what they did, and even better compensated to tear it back down.

Texas is a dumpster fire, and it's taking everything Strong has to rebuild it. Make the move four years ago, and the job is simple...

Carolina offered him a mint a few years back and he turned it down. Hope he gets the job.
