I get that our scheme generally tends to highlight lb play a lot more than d line but it’s not like we don’t have routine lineman taken in the 1st and 2nd round and as I said in the past four years half the time top 10. I kinda get his perspective but to make it sound like he can’t achieve that at GA is insane to me

It's complicated. We've had one OLB finish in the top 10 in the SEC in sacks since Kirby has been here.

Part of if is that we only have one edge rusher on the field 70-80 percent of the time. The other part is playing more contain and the ol' running the hoop we hear about.

Meh it’s hard to tell for me. I’ve been to plenty of our games both at home and on the road I’ve watch backed and thought many times it was much louder or not as loud as it sounded on tv

Pprevent defense and then 3 straight runs and punt. Deboer will catch hell from Bama fans win or lose after this one.

We basically run a 3-3-5 we just don’t call it a 3-3-5 we invented a new position called the Star. Which is a “hybrid” lb safety in theory. It’s really just base 3-3-5

Nah 4-2-5 more accurate for our base.

Our edge guy much more of a DL than LB

Nolan, Chaz, Q. Johnson

Dang. You don’t see a team go for 2 after an opening TD drive everyday

Tech playing for keeps

This is really just semantics then at this point because I would classify Jalon and Dean as lbs and Chaz and others as DE but they all did some of both.

What I meant was we use a formation using what most people would call 3 dline 3 linebackers and 5 dbs would be

I also think ona slightly different note we miss Starks maybe more than we expected we would, which is weird since he was a 1st round pick. If anyone yet has exemplified what star is it is him, and the guy who tackled the wr from Ohio state when he got Injured in the playoffs can’t remember his name.

I haven’t watched Tech other than beating a bad Colorado and a few plays against an overrated Clemson team.

Looking at their schedule, I’d be a little surprised if they aren’t 11-0 going into COFH. Longest UGA win streak in the series is 7… currently at 7. Would be 8 if not for the bullshite 2020 season.

It doesn’t appear Texas will have anything close to a chance at scoring a TD In this game without a complete blown assignment by OU

I wanted to know why tech picked yellow jackets as a team name, so I asked an AI robot…

Am I embarrassing myself to admit that I didn’t know they aren’t named after the insect?

Nope. Some nerds in the year 1901 started wearing yellow members only jackets to Tech games. And the dudes who used feather pens and inkwells to write about sports news started calling them “yellow jackets”. And here we are.

Javon Bullard and Tykee Smith were the Stars. They were both great for sure

Stark played some Star last year but more out of necessity. He was at his best as a FS.
