Crickets are deafening.

You were probably waiting for a bad play to jump back in here. Sorry if I ruined it.

I know he suited up against Vandy, but are signs pointing to him being 100% against Florida? He is by far the best deep threat (excluding Brock) we have and has good chemistry w/ Stet.

Dawgs Post just said there was bad news about a significant contributor, hopefully it's not him. Behind a pay wall so not sure

Him, Milton, or Carter. With AD's high ankle, it may very well be him

A healthy Arian Smith would be nice to have moving forward. He had 1 reception for 15 yards against Mizzo almost 4 weeks ago. Barring any set backs he should be healthier.

You really think the OL is shitty?
I don't think it's s***** but it ain't great either. If you think about it Stetson bails himself out of a lot of sacks due to his legs. So to me those stats are skewed a little bit in terms of how good the oline really is.

bullshite.

We lead the SEC in rushing TD/game (2 behind Miss St but they have played 8 games).

2nd ranked team in the nation in total offense (526 yards per game).

3rd in SEC in scoring offense at 47.1 (we are 1st against power 5 teams at 44.0 ppg).
If Stetson played better in the red zone, we would be even better than that.

The OL is a strength on this team.
There aren't many teams in the country better (if any)

I agree but there was a perception earlier in the season of a steady drop off. I was even guilty of seeing it but it not the case.

It is college. Every team is different at the beginning of the season vs the end (because of replacing players).

If SVPG misses a wrapper, it is frustrating. But it doesn't mean that he is no longer one of the top 3 centers in the country.

Florida will be a good test for our OL. They have a solid first string front 4. Cox will be a good test for our tackles.
We will probably look dominant by the 2nd half.

Aren’t we close to the top on fewest sacks allowed too?

I think so.. I somewhat agree that the offensive line has taken a step back, I wouldn’t call it trash. At times the RB’s are looking for holes that aren’t there, last year they were. And as far as sacks go, I think a lot of that is because Stetson is able to make plays with his legs, and get out of breakdowns.

That happens to every OL in the country.

Every mobile QB is extending plays.

The idea that this is a video game where the best OL has some mathematical formula to win every snap is the problem with fans struggling to see how good we are right now.

I admit that we are not a good OL on the road in a hostile environment. Being able to communicate effectively is important on the OL. But that effects every OL as they learn to play side by side with one another.
There isn't an OL in college that won't struggle with a defense getting an elite jump off the snap count.

I'll admit I was wrong about the OL. I like the way they are playing now. However, what is the secret of great OL's in the past in hostile environments?

I’m not expecting every play for there to be a 20 foot hole for the RB’s to blast through.
Has UGA run the ball great this year, yes.
Have they pass pro’ed, yes.
That’s not saying that they can’t improve?
Again my original statement was, I think they have taken a step back, but I would not call them trash..

We agree.
Every team has a step back in August versus game 15 the prior season.
Comparing game 15 in 2022 vs game 15 2021 (or post seasons in general. Or game 1 2021 vs game 1 2022) is the more accurate comparison.

We were too predictable in our snap count. Mizzou properly prepped for us.

We were also stubborn in our playcalls.
Some of that is on Stet (maybe needing to reverse plays). We are running into 2 uncovered defenders.
One could argue poor play design.
But I think it was poor presnap recognition.

Seeing Stet's frustration, I wonder if they handcuffed his ability to audible in a night road environment.

I just rewatched that 2nd half against Mizz.

We beat them 20-6 all while taking a knee on the 20 yard line and running the clock out with 4 min left. Which would have made it 27-6.

All of your points are correct and with key personnel out in that game, set up nicely for Mizz to be beating us.

However, when we made adjustments and played to our strengths, even with a depleted team, we beat the crap out of Mizz when it mattered and it wasn't close.
