Home schedule is arse. Obligatory “frick Auburn” for our odd-year home schedules.

You'll probably see UT-Martin repaced with a neutral site game if they can swing it. Maybe vs Southern Cal they play Nevada that week.

wouldn't go that far but yes I do enjoy winning ball games. The whole point isn't for WG's entertainment it's for the success of UGA football so anything that supports that is good with me. Working backwards, the goal for hte team every year is:
-play for national title, which you can't do without:
-making the playoffs, which you cant' do without:
-winnign as many of the first 12/13 games as possible
making object #3 harder on ourselves simply doesn't make logical sense when you play an SEC schedule liek we do, and will more often than not have to play a top 3 SEC west team in the SECCG.
The biggest thing I like about it though is that we can ease in carson beck instead of having to go to Norman in week 2 like origianlly scheduled. He may end up being awesome but with a first time started it's obviously nice to let him get his feet wet with some easy ones first. Also only 4 true road games, 2 of which are tech and vandy. So basically 2 games out of 12 where we'll face a rowdy true road crowd. There's a lot to liek about it.
With all that said...I don't mind playing a "name recognition" team that isn't all that great, much like we did this year. The first decade saban was at baama they made a living off that. Clemson, VT, USC, miami, penn state, FSU....those are all big time programs that look like great matchups. Only problem is most of em sucked. So I'd be ok with that, but it's nice to have the home game as well. Overall I can't relaly complain.

That schedule is embarrassing. Screw the SEC for making us cancel the OU game.

What a snooze fest the entire month of September is going to be. Hard to get excited about that schedule.

I'm not really a fan of going halfway across the country to play a big time P5 school at their place with no return trip back.

This is like when clemson was good a few years ago. Sleepwalk. Through the season. Then hit the playoffs with very very few injuries.
