Fell short of my expectations for the week, dropping another SEC series at home to a team we could have/should have beaten. That makes @Kentucky, A&M, @LSU, and Vandy all teams we hve dropped series to. We will likely face Mizzou when they are fighting for their Hoover lives so may not be the easiest of outs.

Bats hit well 3/4 games this week which is a positive, bullpen sucked 3/4. Goal for the next 2 weeks has to be getting Cole Tate back to 100% in the field and at the plate and getting Collins out of this slump; the latter in particular is killing us.

Hope we can steal a win in Knoxville and get back on track with my projection but I wouldn’t be surprised if we get swept and have factored such into my where I think we land. No midweek game this week due to finals.

Baseball America has us as the #8 national seed as of today.

I’d rather be a host without being a top 8 seed.

I tend to agree, this team might do better as a 2 seed against a weaker 1 but I think the program overall needs to continue hosting these opportunities to continue to generate buy in from fans and recruits for the program.

Should be getting big news on the Foley renovation/expansion front soon. The plans exist and they are supposed to be awesome.

I think D1 takes into consideration upcoming schedule and potential W/L where I think BA does this particular point in time.

I think if we finish 3-3 or 2-4, we will need a win in Hoover to host. I honestly think 2-seed in the 12-16 regional is about right

What could end up playing out, is they give us the 16 seed, so it would put us against another SEC team (UT) in the Supers….so they don’t end up with the potential for too many SEC teams in Omaha

Keep in mind Florida and Vandy are right in the same basket as us, on the cusp of hosting but a 2-seed

It’s tough to do that in college baseball tho, since you play 1 series vs each other over 1 weekend. We have 15 Q1 wins to their 7 Q1 wins. Obviously we have another tough series coming up with UT, where we could lose 2 or 3 more games, but also add another Q1 win.
I think we would get the nod over them if we finish with the same SEC record and are roughly the same RPI
