Thing is he isn’t missing, just predictable with that first pitch. They know it’s going to be a fastball and they know it’s going to be belt high

Crisp was more than what we were hoping for tonight, going 6 2/3 scoreless with 5Ks. Game ball goes to him.
We got outhit by Bama and only scored 4 runs, all in the 1st. Still, offense battled at the plate and ate through 3 Bama arms en route to a win against what was supposed to be their starter who goes deep on Friday and preserves their pen. Can’t understate what jumping out to a 4 run lead in the top frame does for the psyche of a guy like Crisp, either. Not a great performance by any means but effective.
Kudos to JMac for a really stellar defensive game at short. We need Cole Tate’s bat in the lineup but haven’t missed much defensively
Cannon tomorrow and Sully Sunday. Let’s get this W!

Big news out of Tuscaloosa: Bama reliever Hunter Hoopes is out indefinitely.
Hoopes was arguably their best arm on staff with a 2.25 ERA over 20 IP with 23K/9BB
