Here we go again: Cannon gets the first guy swinging but then gives up theee straight singles. Bases loaded, 1 out in the 1st

Dawgs get another out on a fielders choice but Tennessee scores

Called strike 3 retires the side

1-0 Vols

More of the same for Cannon in the second: swinging K followed by a single and a HBP

Another fielders choice 1-3 puts 2 in scoring position with 2 away

Strike 3 swinging! Cannon continues to play with fire but has 4Ks through 2

1-0 Vols mid 2nd

Connor Tate delivers the Dawgs first base hit
Wagner strikes out looking
McCallister ropes a single to left, Tate stands at second
King has a good 10 pitch AB but ultimately flies out to right
Now Vitello is throwing a fit about Tate not touching 3B on his way back to second after trying to execute a hit and run. Under review.
Called safe. Eat shite Vitello
And after a long delay, Rogers grounds the first pitch to the 2B. fricking squandering opportunities again.

1-0 Vols through 2

And a leadoff HBP for Cannon
And a single to right
A gift, pop up to Marshall behind home plate. 2 on, 1 away
Riley King makes a sliding catch on his back! 2 away, 2 on
And a 5-3 groundout ends yet another threat.

Cannon at 60 pitches through 3, likely only has 1 more inning in him if that.

1-0 Vols mid 3rd

4 pitch leadoff walk for Cannon. We may need to see Woods come on here soon.
Strikeout for Cannon, nice recovery
Passed ball, runner takes second
Fielders choice, runner advances to 3rd. 2 away
Cannon hits 75 pitches,Woods coming on
First pitch is a wild one, Tennessee scores
Ball 4 on a full count wild pitch. 1 on, 2 away
And another walk on a full count. 2 on, 2 away
Sharp single to right on an 0-2 count, run scores.
Fly out to right

Cannon exits after 3.2 innings with 5 Ks, 1 BB, 5 hits, and 1 ER

Our freshmen arms are completely choking this weekend.

3-0 Vols

Cannon was mediocre and Woods looks like complete shite. I’d say something mean about offense but they’ve been pretty par for their usual mediocre course.

Hope these guys grow the frick up next weekend or we will be lucky to make Hoover, let alone the NCAAT

Harber flies to left
Tate reaches on an infield single
Immediately thrown out at second on a failed hit and run. We are so fricking pathetic on the base paths.
Wagner strikes out looking

Tidwell sitting comfortably at 55 pitches through 4

Nobody should be afraid of this team, just poses minimal threat to anyone with P5 talent and a pulse.

3-0 Vols through 4. We have been outhit 6-2

And a leadoff HBP by Woods. Get him the frick out of there!!!
Rebounds with a swinging K. I’ll forgive the ineptitude if he can draw a double play
Infield fly to McCallister at 2B. 1 on, 2 away
Marshall throws the runner out at second, upheld on review

3-0 Vols mid 5th

McCallister grounds out.
King draws a walk, only out 3rd base runner today
Rogers strikes out looking
Marshall with an infield fly

I seriously need to find something better to do with my day, this is a slog to watch

3-0 Vols through 5
