Which is a shame because the defense was legit.

Recogizing you have a problem is the first step to recovery.

Primarily a wide receiver problem per Kirby and Foo.

We need better players on offense in general including the OL. If you noticed, Joe Burrow routinely had plenty of time to survey the field and find a receiver and when he was pressured he evaded the rush and either ran for big yardage, found an open receiver and wisely tossed the ball out of bounds.

Burrow had time when we let him, he ran for his life when we didn't, what makes him Heisman Worthy is he made things happen when we got to him.

We rushed three and dropped 8 in many cases. It's how teams used to deal with Peyton.

Nothing wrong with out talent at OL at all. They gave Jake plenty of last night and throughout the season. We do need to show improvement at center

We rushed 3:way too many times and the lack holding calls vs their O-line was criminal and it also helps that Burrow is generational player with 3 of the best wideouts in CFB

Did you watch our offense in 2015 or even 2016?

and? Do you get points added to scoreboard based on your roster? 2015 was the worst offense I've ever seen.

Kind of irrelevant as we were not playing for anything in those seasons ....

We had transcendent d this year and a hideous o.

Worst in the modern era is overstated.

It wasn't good, but a more accurate representation is its the largest gap between hype and production I've ever seen.

Not sure, at some point we could not throw or catch, our strength was oline and we could not run at times.

The other O's at least had an identity that did not fundamentally suck.

2015 was FAR worse and did fundamentally "suck" and our offense is still better than we were in '16

Maybe but both were in season that did not matter... This season mattered.

When you want to be a championship program, a season you don't contend is irrelevant.

There's no "maybe" about it

when did this become a qualification? You clearly stated the "modern era"... whatever that means.

It is understood that 15 and 16 were transition years but I do not remember this level of incompetence in those years.

Did not have this d to cover for those two years.

Our goal is to win championships, once that is no longer attainable, play the guys who will help us in the future.

Yep, and Fromm just folded up like a tent at any pressure. He has no pocket presence or even slightest ability to evade pressure and move in the pocket.
