Who was the last significant recruit e got from Alabama? Ben Jones was a great player but I don't think he was a huge head turner as a recruit

Assuming we get Webb, it will be a great coup, and as we are losing Gaillard this year was a position of great need.

He's probably going to play guard, not center. And neither of them are a position of need the way we've recruited the last two years.

Dawgs may be right there with Bama when all is said and done. It depends on how many we sign and how many Bama signs. Dawgs put A&M back in their place in the rankings.
Recruiting Average
1. Bama - 93.73
2. UGA - 93.57

Maybe, maybe not on the guard thing. We only have Erickson as a true center. True, we also have Trey Hill playing center, but he has trouble snapping the ball in the shotgun formation. If he continues to have trouble, Webb could play center.

I get what you are saying, but a true center is a thin spot for us....or more thin than any other spot along the OLine. he might end up at guard, or he might play center. We'll have to wait and see. But if he ends up at guard, that is definitely good news for us, too.

Trey Hill has trouble in shotgun?

Based on what? Two snaps against LSU?!?!
Trey Hill Starts at Center next year. Salyer, Kindley, Cleveland, Mays, and Webb Battle it out at guard all year long.

I really think Georgia has a great shot of getting Trey Sanders and Jadon Haselwood. I would really love it if we could pull top tier defensive players at the rate we are offensive players but the kids we are getting will develop into top tier plays like Baker has and Roquan did.

Webb doesn't want to play center early because of the demands of the position (blocking assignments, etc). He'll start off at guard. He may move to center down the road. That's how Kirby and Pittman recruited him.

Question to you all:

Could Dawgs really sign both Evan Neal(OT) and Darnell Wright(OT) if they both wanted to come? We already have two OTs in this class (McClendon/Truss).

I don't see how we could take 4.

I would say very low odds that we land both Wright and Neal.

If it were to happen, likely Truss would be the casualty.

If you had a few years ago told me that a top 250 4* OT was a potential candidate to lose a spot, I would have reported you to mental health services...

Wild times.

I'm not really sure why this warranted an announcement, but whatever
