. So why was he a mistake? was it because he was not mobile, or was it because he could not pass?
Because he wasn't able to pass against good defenses.

Ours hasnt evolved enough. We need to keep up with Bama as best we can.

Come on man, meaningless? You can counterpoint better than that. Try again.
Fromm is 1-of-14 converting for a first down on plays of third-and-9 or longer this season, and the results have been at times disastrous. Fromm has been sacked four times out of those 14 plays, thrown two interceptions and fumbled on another occasion.
Georgia’s longest play was a fumble advanced 31 yards. Other than that, there was only one play longer than 16 yards — a 23-yard pass completion to Jeremiah Holloman.
The Georgia pass game hasn’t taken off either, seventh in the SEC and 76th in the nation with just 219.8 yards per game through the air.
Straight from DawgNation. That's quite pathetic considering our weapons.

Well, you would be wrong. 2 highest pass attempts per game at Bama were 2014 and 2015. 2016 remained as high as the highest from 09-13, and that was with Hurts probably taking off running on passing plays.
Why don't I put this in it's own thread.

Okay. I have started a thread on offensive philosophies. gave my opinion, so...why don't we all move it over to that, so we don't clutter this thread up?

We're worried about what happens less than 3 times a game?
Also from the same article:
quote:
Smart sharply disagreed with that, saying there were breakdowns in protections.
And you're glossing over this and putting all the blame on Fromm.
And the fact that we're throwing for almost 50 yards more per game. But hey... keep saying our offense and Fromm suck.

What do you expect him to say? Yes, the offensive line could have performed better. That still doesn't completely absolve Fromm because he quite often holds the ball too long. He's looked more like Eason this year in the pocket than the Fromm of last year.
Something has got to change or improve very quickly. We're going to get our asses handed to us in Baton Rouge if it doesn't improve/change.
DawgsLife is right, we're cluttering up this thread with talk about the offense.

So you want him to come out and say how poorly Fromm has playing which in your mind would be the truth but it's coach speak when he puts some blame on the OL. Right...

Our running game is averaging more yards per carry and our passing O is averaging more yards per game and per attempt but you want improvements?
How about we just wait for our OL to get back to being healthy and go from there.

That 32 is what I was talking about. That is the most Bama has passed per game. Thanks for proving my point.

DeBary from Rivals saying Kirby told Jalen Perry and JD Bertrand we don’t have room and they’ll be decommitting soon. Anyone else hear this?

I would be surprised, especially concerning Bertrand, but I guess it is possible. If it is true, it would be because we have other more talented people ready to sign with us.

There has been talk of several guys going elsewhere, similar to last cycle. Names on this generally are kept quiet, so we don't know and likely won't until or after it happens.
Likely going to be a wild ride.

Yep, and That was before we lost haselwood. We might have to walk that back, and not sure if they will want to forgive us.

I find it very hard to believe that Haselwood's decommittment caught Kirby unawares.

apparently he is expecting 10-13 targets a game.

He did. They thought all was good with him after his visit.

Is this DJShockley Dawg? If so, I caught passes from you in 01 and 02.

Can you guys blame this kid given what we've featured on offense? I don't blame him one bit (just please don't go to Auburn).
He might still be in the fold when all is said and done. I wish him the best.
Kirby is always on it, gents. We have proof.

You said they started passing a lot more in 2014. You implied that was the beginning of a trend of more passing. You were wrong! Your point was not proven. I'm out of this tread.
