Just curious but how do you know coaches read this stuff. Just ask because if I were a college coach I don’t think I’d be very concerned with forums and such.

Just take us at our word.

It’s not necessarily Kirby and the coordinators checking in every day. What do you think GA and support staffers are doing when they’re not going through recruit evals and game prep?

It’s a brand marketing thing. They’re not going to get all uppity because someone is critical of the program but they are going to use the methods at their disposal to leak info they want leaked. Grassroots style momentum building and message boards can be incindeniary starting points. Even if you don’t post or even visit a team message board, someone on your Facebook or on twitter or at your school or office probably does and that’s how these rumors grow and move and create positive momentum that eventually gets back to recruits

I suppose it would be important to know the information that is out there from your team as well as others. Do coaches ever communicate over the boards?

Not coaches but I’ve known of some big time boosters to involve themselves (mostly because they can). Coaches don’t have the time nor the need. Best if you can get a second or third party to do it. As in all things athletics, you’re always going to maximize distance from coaches as a co tingency best practice

I have mixed feelings about Ford. Obviously would be a great get, but we have one TE already committed, and Nauta and Woerner still have two more years of eligibility. Since the class is getting close to full, I won't be disappointed if we fill the remaining spots with a good defensive tackle, a WR and maybe another DB or LB'er or both.

Just got back from being out, and I tend to agree with you on this. I guess the coaches think we need another one. Probably because they like running two TE sets. But I tend to agree that we could go with another highly rated player.

However, with next year being such a strong class, maybe they don't want to give a scholy to a TE next year, and would rather spend it on a TE this year. I tend to go with, "We don't know what might happen next year, let's strike while the iron is hot." I think thta is why I am not a coach, though.

How does Luke compare with Isaac and Charlie? I think Isaac could be Gronkowski like if we would look for him more. He is a mismatch with everybody. I remember Kirby saying earlier in the year that he needs to practice better, but that is a weapon we need to unleash on the Sooners next week
