I can't fully embrace this sentiment until McGarity and the last of his kind are swept from the building.
It's not going to happen until he himself decides to retire. I don't think anyone can complain about the investment in facilities, at least not now.

Yep, and I also noticed our average was better than their class as well, 92.71 to 92.09.
That much huh.

UGA does need to massively upgrade their players lounge, locker room, and weight room in my opinion.
Weight room was renovated just a few years ago Mrs. Marshall.

The project to expand and renovate the Butts-Mehre building took approximately 30 months to complete. There's no way Clemson can compete with us now.

They had all of that this year, we still outrecruited them.
Actually, they didn't have a National Championship this past year (I realize they won it in January, and signing day was in February, but that was too late in the recruiting cycle for them to see massive gains, like they should in this cycle)...and it does make a difference. Also, they are supposed to finish the facilities in Spring/Summer of this year, so they did not have those last recruiting cycle. Those facilities, supposedly are the best in the nation, even eclipsing Alabama's. (I don't know if that is true, or not, but it is impressive)
I would say two of the biggest factors in swaying a recruit is success on the field and facilities. Clemson has taken a giant step forward in both of those areas since February.

UGA will continue to outrecruit Clemson for the foreseeable future. Clemson only about 15 schollies this upcoming cycle so UGA will finish with the better class unless they sign like 6 or 7 5-stars. 2019 UGA could have the #1 class.
Talent won't be an issue The staff just needs to utilize correctly. They got Lawrence, but they probably noting getting Zamir White or Salyer. I'll take that with Fromm already on campus to take over for Eason after 2018.

Meh you can be afraid of Clemson if you want. I have no doubt UGA will continue recruit on a level or a greater than they have. UGA still has the built-in talent advantage in-state and that isn't going away any time soon.
I think the impact on of national championship on recruiting is overrated. Schools like Alabama, Ohio State were already getting elite classes before they won a national championship.
Hell Zamir White straight up he didn't watch or care about Clemson's championship. What I'm saying is they won't become Bama on the field or in recruiting. I stand by that.

So...any OM recruits that may be rethinking their decision. Time to fire up the War Room.

Exactly. Bunch of chicken sh*ts running around in here, over Clemson to boot.

It's still small to the competition. Look it up if you don't believe that. They expanded it to 12,000 square feet, about 4000+ square feet larger than the old one. Compare and contrast. What they have is nice, but it doesn't compared to many others in the SEC, especially the bigger programs that we have to compete against.

Are you sure? They only signed 14 or so this past cycle. Are they that top heavy with upper classmen?

Nobody is afraid. But if you don't respect what they are doing you are making a mistake.

Actually, they were not. Here are the classes they were getting before their National Championship years. (I went 2 years out)
Alabama
2007-13th
2006-15th
2005-21st
2004-30th
Ohio State
2010-15th
2009-4th
2008-8th
2007-Not in Top 50
2006-22nd
They were not recruiting the elite classes they are recruiting now. There should be no doubt that a National Championship should give the school a bump in rankings. It doesn't always, but when it doesn't, it speaks more to the ineptness of the coaching staff than it does anything else. Especially when momentum has been building. Auburn failed to capitalize greatly on theirs because they were so up and down leading up to their National Championship. A team that is surging almost always gets a nice recruiting bump. after two straight Championship game appearances, I would say Clemson is showing momentum.

I don't want to be a dick, but can we squash the Clemson argument? There is a shite ton going on in recruiting and I'm having to filter through crap most UGA fans don't care about.

It's a reasonable request.

Really? What?
We've discussed the Zamir White situation, and it is all speculation.

It started with Zamir but it's evolved from there. Listen, you guys can argue whatever you'd like to, I would just like to read about UGA recruiting. Again, not being a dick, just a request.

As I said...it's a reasonable request.

Does anyone know why we haven't offered WR Matthew Hill (Brookwood HS)?
