Correct me if I'm wrong but haven't you been dead wrong about 98% of the time so far from all your "sources"?

You're thinking of matthew1, by the way, who told the board Nixon was a Dawg the day before he committed to OM. Try to keep up.

are these actually ll's "sources"? I thought she was just copying info from the vault and vent and bringing it here.

but all of them over there seem to be pointing toward a surprise or two including an OT who may be committed to another SEC school. One of them claims it's an FSU commit though.
Should be juaun williams from what I know. But then, this close to NSD, nothing is ever what you think it's going to be (hence everyone saying Brown to AU may be missing the boat by taking the "obvious" answer)

I heard it was a current FSU commit that Pittman was recruiting for Arky. Williams is not the one my guy said though he's still in play.

Well that would certainly be a nice surprise

Interesting..guy hasn't visited and I don't see a UGA Offer on the list but he could be keeping it quiet so as to not get the media backlash.
Multiple recruits, media guys, and "insiders" have said UGA fans will be pleasantly surprised tomorrow...so I, for one, cannot wait!

That's true. I'm just wondering though if it's more like getting mecole and derrick brown surprised (which would be like a 5 on teh surprise scale) or if we're looking at a 10/10 surprise factor with people we've never heard of before like the aforementioned OL from virginia. I want all da recruits.

you're right, they are not my sources. he's confusing it with the time I got pummeled because I dheard from someone, and shared it here, Bloomgren would be our next OC, prior to Schotty being named.

That's my thing. "Surprised" relative to what? If you follow recruiting as closely as some of us do, are we the ones that will be surprised? Or is it going to be a surprise to the folks that only get their recruiting info from reading the AJC each morning on the john?
Posted on 2/2/16 at 9:00 am to tylerdurden24
haha exactly. A week ago I think everyone just accepted DB was gone. Now, hey we might actually get him. That'd be kind of surprising, but it wouldn't be shocking the way things have gone lately.
Some of these OL that are committed elsewhere that nobody even mentioned until the last few days? Those would be big time surprises.

Mack Wilson? A surprise.
Williams, Hudson, or Ball? A surprise
Brian Burns? A surprise
Brown, Robertson, and Price? Exciting but not surprising if they pick us

Well then I apologize. Guess I mixed up some people and sources. Heres to a good NSD

When I read "surprise", I think more along the lines of Juaun Williams, that OT from VA, Ben Davis, or Mack Wilson. But as you said TD, it's relative to the people on this thread as we follow it pretty closely. I'm just ready for the docs to be signed and to finally see what our '16 Freshman class looks like.

The Rivals Guys (actual reporters aside from Dasher) are unanimous that Brown, Price, and Drob end up at Georgia. Interesting...

In the end we're all going to largely forget about this class by next week and not remember we have them until the Summer gets here and they report to campus

I'm just saying
NSD is a blast and some of these guys may contribute early but come Spring practice time, we will shift focus back to who is already here and the freshmen that will e playing on G Day

Bringin dat rain on da parade.

Agreed though... Was reading another article that somewhat put it in perspective, with half of the top 20 avg. recruiting classes having 6+ losses last season, and another that talked about some of the "big names" that were signed and subsequently dismissed or just never made it (Crowell and JHC were named). Ultimately, it's a fun way to kick off the offseason and keep things interesting, particularly when there is little to no news about any of the guys that are actually on campus.
I will start getting a lot more excited every NSD once I see what Kirby (and company) does with guys as they get to campus. Seemed like development was hit or miss in the previous 5-10 years or so. Seems like given some of what has already happened, Kirby has an idea of what/who he wants. Another article had a good comment on some of the decommitments and where they ended up going (UCF and GSU, rather than another "top program"), and what that meant from an evaluation standpoint from Kirby.
