2014 SC WR Shaquille Davidson will visit UGA this weekend...

What's the record for most people named Shaquille on one football team?

Any junior day updates? I saw where Radi tweeted an offer went out to a Camden cb. Any other action?

We won't know until tonight or tomorrow probably. I'm generally expecting a quiet weekend though.

Maybe watch Juwon Young if he gets an offer.

I agree with your assessment of Young. He comes from a family of Dawgs and they will likely encourage him to commit if/when he gets an offer unless it comes very late in the process. Top 200 athlete but might be a bit of a tweener.

What does tweener mean?

He's not a great fit in the 3-4. He's a bit small for the OLB position and is not a natural at ILB (might be a bit small for that too). He might be a better fit as a 4-3 OLB where his size wouldn't be as much of an issue. He's a really good player, it's just a matter of where he fits.

Yep, Kalvarez Bessent. Hopefully we continue our Camden county pipeline.

Kids are starting to leave now, news should start trickling out within an hour or so.

LINK

ETA Juwon Young

If he puts on 15 pounds and maintains his 4.62 speed, I think he could be a great OLB.

247 says he's the 8th best OLB recruit in the country. If he's mean as hell and has good instincts, it doesn't matter if he's an inch short. I think of Hines Ward, the guy that can't play anything, on paper.

What takes us so long to offer kids we are already familiar with? When the interviews are done with recruits, most of them mention the first programs to offer, and keep them close throughout the process. I often feel that our staff is very ignorant. They don't pick up on things that seem to matter much and won't conform to different ideas. Its the same ole ''stay the course" shite we've been hearing for Richts entire tenure. Its sickening really.

Yeah our staff clearly has no clue what they're doing.

Dante Sawyer was offered today, he's pretty high in UGA.

I wouldn't go that far. I just think they like to give offers differently that others. Mostly in person and when they can't then on the phone. It's a different approach but it's more personal.

Shouldn't we be hearing some decent rumors at this point?

Not really, a lot of Jr Days don't bring in commitments. Dontavious Russell and Bryson Allen-Williams both said we made up a lot of ground with them; UGA is a solid 2nd for BAW with about 5 or 6 months to go until his decision. We're also looking like we're out in front for Dante Sawyer. Juwon Young was the one kid that might have committed and he did not receive an offer.

The Mark Richt Camp and Dawg Night are usually the big events where most people expect to land 2, 3, maybe more.

That's what it sounded like in his interview the other day, which is great because this guy is a baller. Really hope we land him
