Unless Saban, Meyer, or Chip Kelly express interest in taking over TAMU, there's no way anyone should want Sumlin gone after his recent success.

No offense, but if given the choice, I take Sumlin over those three, actually.

JMO, of course.

At the risk of sounding cliche, Sumlin "gets" A&M far more than the other three do. And having a great coach is only part of the deal. I have never seen a head coach connect with the players the way Sumlin has in such a short while, and I believe his swagger is better for this school in the long run.

In short, he fits like a glove. Would not replace.

No cause for me to take offense. It's a valid opinion. I obviously would take any of those three over Franklin, myself. I like Franklin a lot, but those are the cream of the crop. You just happen to like Sumlin even more than I like Franklin.

All in theory of course, but I think Saban's attitude would play great with our fans and school. He's all business and heavy into discipline. Kelly would be a bad fit all around and our fans would get sick of the thuggery under Meyer, but the winning wouldn't get old obviously.

You know what? You're right.

I hereby revise my opinion. You're absolutely right about that, actually

I agree the swagger and attitude Sumlin brings is much needed at the point we were (probably still are) at as a program. And he does it without being too brash or coming off as a loud mouth. Perfect balance.
