Where are the slants?

Of many things wrong with him, that's my biggest WTF? issue with Spaz-it-all.
Leach's offense was seemingly all about the quick slant, so it's not like this is a revolutionary concept - it actually pre-dates the current evolution of the spread. It's not that we don't use them often, it's that we don't have a quick slant game at all. When you don't have an o-line (Leach, us) you need to get the ball out fast. The ONLY way Spaz-it-all does that is the bubble screen. Well, if opposing teams know that, they're going to key on it and shut it down, which they have been doing.
Why hasn't Sumlin gone to him and said "DUDE - have you forgotten that slants EXIST?"

Yeah. It's a slippery slope.
