I thought for a second the rally in the 9th was gonna do it.
Hope Young can get us back on track today.
I have a similar situation as you - born in KC metro but lived all of my younger years in Texas. Family made sure I was indoctrinated into KC sports.

How did you become a Royals fan?
Didn't really care about baseball at all growing up. Wasn't a part of my sporting childhood. Would watch the TX teams every now and then due to proximity but nothing lasting.
Got stationed at Whiteman AFB back in 2012 and it was always easy to get cheap tickets to the K for military folks. Ballpark and team just kinda grew on me. Seeing the Royals make a WS run the same year the Spurs won it all was cool.

That's three!
FF, yep for a second yesterday, I thought a miracle comeback might be in the works. Fortunately, your wish came true today. Young kept them in it and KC bats went nuts. Things were so out of hand that former A&M third baseman Cliff Pennington closed out the game for Toronto. His first pitch was 91 MPH.
Tbird, glad you became a fan (this is a fun team to watch) and that they gave military folks a break on tickets (when I left for college, it wasn't called the K and General Admission tickets were a buck fifty).
Ironically, KC's last WS win was in '85 when they beat Toronto in the ALCS after being down 3 games to 1. This year KC is up 3 games to 1, so we can't totally root for history to repeat itself.

OUCH! Jays get ONE hit in the 4th, but plate FOUR thanks to three walks and one HBP.

Missing the game tonight (going to the AT&T center), but here's hoping YV takes us back home to finish our business from last year!

That's four!
Bring on the Mets! I know, be careful what you wish for. The Mets are looking pretty awesome so far.

I totally agree, clutch pitching by Davis in the 9th, especially given the one hour rain delay. I think they said with runners on 2nd and 3rd and zero outs, 83% of the time at least one run scores. I hated to see Holland get hurt, but Davis has been lights out!
