Texas FBS Power Rankings (Week 2)

A&M and Texas are 1 and 2 as expected but w/their 11 point win at Baylor Texas State shoots up from near the bottom to #3. SMU is the only other school that won a game against an out of state opponent dominating La Tech. Houston won an ugly game over a UTSA that is expected to challenge for the AAC title. Tech somehow fell apart and lost to Wyoming in 2OT. Rice was gradually worn down by Texas. Sam Houston's defense was surprisingly decent against BYU but their offense was almost non existent. North Texas blown off the field by Cal was a mild surprise. While UTEP got into the win column it was a rather uninspiring victory over FCS Incarnate Word and can't make up for losing to FBS newcomer Jacksonville State in week 0.
