Agree. The defense was so bad we had no business winning 8 games. We only did so because we have the best offense in football. Put us back in the Big XII and we average 50+. Now the offense while still expected to be good/above average, we have to replace 3 first rounders including a QB (most important position) that won the Heisman. So while the defense should not be dreadful again, the offense won't be able to carry a below average defense. Therefore I don't expect 10 wins. It should also be taken into account that we play #2, #4, #5, #7, #14, RV, & RV from last year.

We aren't an elite program yet by any means. Elite programs expect and win 10 games a year. We may get there in the next couple years but we aren't there yet. We are pulling in the recruiting classes of an elite program but we aren't turning in the season end results, and it's too soon to judge Sumlin for that obviously
