That video begs the question: are our DBS that bad or the receivers that good?

well, tbf it was the highlight reel posted by a WR

Btw, I found it interesting that Ricky is played inside in the scrimmage. Was told he's practiced a lot at Z this spring. My guess is MK wasn't playing and they are mixing and matching a bit. RSJ practiced almost exclusively at Y in the fall so he knows the position well.

One reason I asked for numbers is I've heard our WR rotation will look something like:

Z - RSJ (backup Reynolds)
Y - Kennedy (Tabuyo)
H - Quiv (Holmes)
X - Speedy (Jaquay/Pope)

Parker isn't practicing so he figures in the mix as may Nacho and Jeffrey when they arrive in the summer.

sitting here watching hoops and reading the 247 FNL summary and I think this is the most generic bullshite imaginable and people seem to be eating it up.

I don't think a single interesting thing is in it. Well, other than the Chevis note but for now I'm just going to take it with a grain of salt because I know he's been running 3rd team. I've noticed Hamm always hypes up Chevis and talks about him being the hardest worker on the team and yada yada. My bet is that's one of his primary sources.

The guy that's been mentioned to me about 30 times this spring is Mastro. He's not just being handed that spot. He's owning it, making the calls, and a former player even called him a "star" in the making.

probably the only reason I notice is because Chevis reports are always glowing while the people I talk to are not as high on him so those comments always stick out. Reminds me too much of the Matt Davis reports

My card that I pay 247 on was canceled because of the Target shite and I just haven't updated my 247 payments. Not worth it IMO. I might create a new account to take advantage of a free promo or something though

Honestly I did the free promo thing then forgot to cancel my sub so I've stuck with it. Im OK with it just because it is the best recruiting info but everything else from the other info relayed to the community on that board is pretty bad

Mastro blossoming (per multiple, independent people)
Washington is probably going to be the SAM. He still needs more weight but he's starting to be more natural at the position
Baggs is finding a spot as a good backup and working in the 33 stack. He's playing SAM in certain packages
Hilliard will be good depth and could play multiple spots but likely not start (my guess is he'll start at WILL vs SC). He may be our backup MIKE
Wade....ehhhh I don't like to speculate usually but think he transfers
Chevis shows flashes but he's still aways off
Sanders I've heard absolutely nothing and it makes me wonder if he's hurt and I forgot

that's what most people thought coming into the season right?

yeah, Baggs is not doing anything spectacular or progressing really (at least I've not heard that) but he's smart and our most experienced guy by far and so he works in at a couple of specialty packages that the younger guys probably aren't ready for. I don't think he's going to be a heavy rotation guy or anything

well that and the coaches aren't particularly high on Wade

Chevis does but he's been unhappy. He didn't want to redshirt and now he feels like he's better than some in front of him. Athletically he is but he makes too many mistakes still

me too. We really needed Sanders to be everything we thought he would be. I'm pretty convinced at this point that only the purple wizard can succeed with JUCOs

So do both Alaka and Walker play significant minutes?

I seriously doubt it. I won't be surprised if both redshirt

After saying this, I was pointed to the Ben Malena comment on Texags Radio. Start listening around 37 min.

FTR, this is not the former player I was speaking of

I really hope they're right. We need a player like that in the worst way right now

And a dominant pass rusher also
