Not after the LSU game. From then on, something happened in his mind to make him realize we needed to run the football to win.

It. Was. All. The. Time.

True. But people are stupid in general. Unless we win every game and score 50 points a game then people are going to bitch about something. We can all go back and see clearly, Kliff knew WTF he was doing.

I hope it is right then, I would rather see DC calling plays then Spav for the bowl game.

Would recruits feel deceived by that? Recruit right up til dead period and then gone?

It saves recruits from being bombarded by other coaches about their coach being gone. It gives A&M time to get a replacement in place maybe. I'm not sure.

I guess that makes sense. Just awkward to get your in home visit by Spav and hear he is canned the next week and not be able to talk to anyone about it

But youre right, the negative recruiting factor comes into play as well

I thought the recruit could contact the coach during the dead period but not the other way around.

Also, that doesn't prevent shitheads like Burton from bombarding the recruits just to be an arse.

I believe this is correct. Recruits can contact coaches, coaches cannot contact recruits.

Thank god I'm not the only person on here that watches that boring arse show.

I used to watch it, until I watched the mini series Legend of the Superstition Mountains. After watching the small season, I was curious about everything they kept saying and finding since I have visited the area before. I hit Google and it turns out everything they had found is already known and mapped by most locals. They even went as far as planting a Templar Knight's cross in a cave and claiming to have found it. Many of the locals who have explored those caves for years claim that the cross has never been there before and it was put there for the show. If this was fake, then how fake must the Oak Island show be?

Nope, Sumlin is promoting Spavitard to "Assistant Head Coach", making Chavis report to him directly.

Meachem would be awesome if we could somehow get him.

No clue. Probably going to have to moneywhip someone or go the unproven route with a guy like Sterlin Gilbert or Tyson Helton (and both will have plenty of suitors).

Not exactly a good year to be in the market for an OC.
