So what you're saying is that Hamm has more access to what's going on because of his connection with the players?

What what was all about?

It's almost like what Parker and Stone say, "I dislike Hamm, but I REALLY dislike Liucci".

I was surprised that Meacham was coaching OL but then I looked and apparently he was an OL in college

Dude must have lost a ton of weight after graduating

Pretty sure he has coached every offensive position except quarterback.

General feeling on this thread at the Zoo (I know, I know) is saying it's Meacham.

LINK

Including, seemingly, a poster called "welborn" who called the Hyman departure the day before it happened.

If Meacham is bringing Luper to coach the RBs, then he has to find somebody to either coach the OL or QBs. It is more common for an OC to also coach QBs than OL.

But if he would rather rely on his own experience playing on the OL, then he needs a QB coach.

This may just hinge on whether he can find an OL or QB coach that he really wants.

Is Sark actually well thought-of?

"welborn" is also saying that the UW AD is likely to be hired.

Also, the reason Liucci hasn't mentioned this and insist it's Mazzone is because he has been locked out of the program. He hasn't spoken with Sumlin, any coaches or players in over a month. I know this for a fact.

Right now Liucci is blindly guessing because his only sources are second/third hand.

Would explain why he has turned on Sumlin.

Any word on other assistants?

OC/QB (Spavital) - already gone

RB (McKinney) - likely gone

OL (Christiansen) - likely gone

WR (Moorehead) - ?

TE/ST (Banks) - Pretty safe

DC/LB (Chavis) - Staying

DE (Price) - ?

DT (Hagan) - please leave

DB (Joseph) - Probably safe

Defensive line play has been atrocious against the run and when your sole responsibility is to coach defensive ends, you need to bear blame when they have no clue how to defend the run, especially the zone read.

Okay people, now we need confirmation that Chavis has no interest in Tenn job.

When Cumbie turned down the Texas OC job, I wondered if he had an idea that Meacham would be moving on after the season ended. His departure paves the way for Cumbie to be promoted to sole OC at TCU. He couldn't have known where exactly Meacham would be going, just that he would likely soon have full control of their offense.

We would just steal Aranda from LSU.
