Can't go wrong there, but its not a sports bar. It will have the game on its few TVs.

We had a great time! One of the best burgers ever!
People were really nice. Talked to a fellow that said he was a manager when Bryant was there. He is a colonel and does something with the cadet core. Said Coach Stallings is his best friend and he was a pallbearer at his mother's funeral. He got all emotional talking about Coach Bryant, Coach Stallings and A & M. If he was telling the truth, I believe I may have met a legendary Aggie and that is awesome!
A couple of students dropped by to talk and one stayed for about an hour. Said the last time Bame came he was surprised at how nice the fans were. I told him our crazy few are the ones rhat make the news. I was really impressed by this young man who is a pre med student.
I travel a lot and last night is the kind of night I truly enjoy, kicking back and talking with locals. I especially like that the conversations were multi generational.
It was a special evening for sure. Looking forward to wandering around today and finding some amazing Mexican food.
There is a Blue Baker across from our hotel. Is that local? Got good reviews on Yelp. Just thought if we get our butts handed to us tomorrow we could slink in for take out.

Blue Baker is a chain in a few states, I think it started in California but I could be wrong. They offer free food if you show up painted blue, which happens from time to time. They're ok, not the greatest imo.
Best places to eat:
Kruez Market off 6 for BBq. They are family owned originally from Lockhart. The Lockhart location is the best BBQ in Texas. The new place in BCS is pretty good too.
There's a mexican place in Bryan that is excellent for breakfast/brunch. I can't recall the name but I'm sure a bunch of people here know. Its in downtown Bryan and is a 'hole-in-the-wall' place, very good.
Those are my favorites.

For TexMex Casa Rodriguez in downtown Bryan us good
For actual Mexican food Cafe el sol de Mexicana at the corner of MLK and Texas is great, right across the street from there is Fargo's BBQ which is better than Kreuz.
Koppe Bridge on Wellborn road is the best burger in town followed by Burger House on College Ave in Bryan.
Patranellas on Parker downtown is excellent Sicilian food and an awesome bakery as well

I don't think that is even a little true.
It is local and it is awesome. Great soups, sandwiches, breads, pizza, pastries, cookies, and bagel.

And my favorite hole in the wall Mexican place is cocoloco, the one in Bryan. They have little shrunken heads on the wall and its next to a crappy motel. If you're slightly scared for your life that's okay, I don't blame you.

Lol, yeah I was 100% off. I was thinking of Freddy's for some reason I guess.
Still was unimpressed with them.

Yep, gonna have to try Koppe Bridge.
Also want good Mexican and at my age, I have to eat that earlier or the question all night is "is it a heart attack or heartburn. Am thinking late lunch in Bryan for Mexican. Then late dinner at Koppe. Maybe that will keep me up for yell practice.
BTW, you guys on this board are great! The daughter and I appreciate all the help.
Our Alumni tailgate is at the Student rec center indoor soccer courts.

Meh, didn't say it was bad, just wasn't impressed the couple times I went there.

My lunch is at Carrolls in Navasota today.
If you want to try some really good new age tacos go to Mad Taco, it's behind the Sonic on Texas just north of University, turn in front of the Super 8 and it's in the little center behind the bank.
