Isn't Mazzone unemployed? What good is it doing to wait? Or did we just get royally shafted too late in the day and will pull the trigger tomorrow?

Look at it this way- this is the choice Sumlin has to live with. Mr. Italian Restaurant will probably come with less commitment than the TCU OC would have demanded, which would have forced us to keep Sumlin next year even if things don't click or recruiting tanks.
At least with Mr. Italian Restaurant by the end of 2016 we will know once and for all if Sumlin is going to work out, and if he doesn't we can afford to move on.
